Yellowfin Tunas!
We cannot get a break from the hot weather! We did have a nice light north wind so that was really helpful to get away from the heat just a little. Today our Offshore Fleet had a good catch of Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and a few Mahi Mahi! The captains said that they think the fish got a little spooked today because of a few massive Navy ships heading south. They are hoping thigs pick up tomorrow when the navy ships make it out of the fishing grounds! We have the Dare County Boat Builders Tournament starting tomorrow. Don’t forget Registration is tonight in the Pavilion at Pirates Cove!
Our nearshore fleet had incredible Spanish Mackerel fishing this morning along with a good amount of Bluefish! A few boats also releases a few citation Red Drum! It was a great day of fishing! Nearshore trips are booking up very quickly this week! We still have a few Inlet fishing trips and Crabbing and Shrimping trips available and even some Tubing trips! Visit us online at www.fishpiratescove.com to check availability, read up on our boats and even book your next trip!!
Stay tuned for updates on the Dare County Boat Builders Tournament! Good luck and Tight Lines to all captains and crews fishing!
