Wags and Whiskers Gala
The Wags & Whiskers Gala is a collaboration among OBX non-profit 501(c) 3 animal welfare organizations that come together to celebrate the gift of animals in our lives. The Gala is held annually on the Friday before Thanksgiving and it’s one of the best parties of the year!

Through 2017, the Gala has provided over $240,000 to the OBX community for services such as spay/neuter assistance, rabies vaccination clinics, medical care, shelter and rehabilitation for homeless cats and dogs, trap neuter return assistance for community cats, and investigation and prosecution of animal cruelty and neglect cases. With 100% of the net proceeds remaining in the community, collaborating organizations in 2018 include the Coastal Humane Society, Feline Hope, Friends of Felines – Cape Hatteras Island, and the Outer Banks SPCA. This year’s theme is Puttin' on the Ritz for the Animals! Tickets are $75 each and will be available locally and online.
