Event Description:
Co-found of UNC-Asheville's STEAM Studio, Brent Skidmore, explores available equipment that supports the fusion of math and science with art. Learn how to use basic woodcutting equipment, the Shopbot, the Trotec Speedy 100 laser cutter and more to develop a foundation in software creations. By the end of the workshop, students can expect to have created small furniture pieces and other items using wood, plywood cardboard and paper.
