It's the giving time of year again! Make sure to give your loved ones something sweet and tasty this holiday season.

Matt Khouri of Outer Banks Boil Company and Holden McOwen of Kiiind Cocktails have teamed up to offer some tasty food and drink events. They pay Autumn and Justin a visit to talk about what's in store for the upcoming winter season. Plus Autumn and Justin will fill you in on The Wall That Heals, which will be on display at the Soundside Event Site in Nags Head from November 16 to 19.

The Cotton Rosemallow. (Hibiscus mutabilis 'Plena') kinda' late, but always on time. November 5 is a fine time to bloom. Anyone who waits for these flowers to spring upwards with the falling temperatures knows how good this plant truly is as a shrub, or cut-back as a hardy perennial. We have a few left in the nursery that need a good home before the winter comes and we have to pack these little beauties away for bed. The nursery has great plants still and will be looking forward to starting our growing for next spring soon. Please check in with us if there's anything you want us to grow for you next year!

Banker horses have roamed freely on the Outer Banks for more than 500 years, since they were originally brought here by Spanish explorers. One of the two last remaining Banker herds in the world lives north of Corolla, from where N.C. Highway 12 turns from pavement to sand to the Virginia line.
