Artists are now eligible to apply for Artist Support Grants! 💚 🎨 Emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply for a grant for a variety of professional and artistic development including the creation of work, improvement of business operations, purchase of equipment and/or materials, professional development workshops, travel support associated with a professional opportunity, and development of promotional materials.

These grants are intended to support a broad range of disciplines, including visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, and interdisciplinary arts. Grants will range in awards from $500 to $1,000.
📅 The deadline to apply is 11:59pm on Friday, October 9, 2026.

The Roanoke Island Historical Association is proud to announce the return of an additional Dare Night on the final night of the 89th season of The Lost Colony! Locals have one more opportunity to enjoy free admission to The Lost Colony on August 22nd, 2026 and support Dare County schools.

Residents of Dare, Tyrrell, Currituck, and Hyde counties can enjoy The Lost Colony for free with a donation of new school supplies valued at a minimum of $10.

Don't forget to pick up a t-shirt, mug, deck of cards or any other Grill Room merch when you join us for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
