Our goal for our guests is to search for bottlenose dolphins and local species of birds while taking pleasure in the splendid scenery along the way. Bottlenose dolphin, well known for their intelligence, friendly disposition, and “smiling” faces, have been interacting with humans for centuries and seem to have as much interest in us as we have in them. They often swim near the Kokomo, lifting their heads out of the water to get a glance at all the people on-board.

Dam good trip nearshore the other day, well kinda nearshore. Had Lisa and Brad yesterday and we started looking for grasslands inside but the little bit of wind we had overnight scattered it out. We started off with 4 big AJs, killed out 2, then we snacked a 25lb king, a 50lb class yellow for Brad, then a 70lb wahoo for Lisa. Having a full box we started working our way home. Found a break and some bailers, only needing a couple called my bud Jamie on the Phideaux in and he took care of the rest. Then we finished it with a BADDASSSSS catch n cook at Striper's Bar n Grille....

Deepwater Theater on Ocracoke's School Road is home to many of our activities. This is where we host student arts programming year-round. During the summertime, visitors can catch a weekly performance of the Ocrafolk Opry.

Finish off your Independence Day weekend by supporting an OBX treasure! Outer Banks Sporting Events invites you to run/walk/overcome 2 miles on Jockey's Ridge, the tallest natural sand dune system in the eastern US! Attracting runners looking for a "unique" challenge (and drawing a very competitive field), we also welcome people to walk the course (not just a "walk in the park" though)! Proceeds benefit Friends of Jockey's Ridge, a local non-profit dedicated to supporting, preserving and enhancing Jockey's Ridge State Park.

So far, small CROAKER and SEA MULLET. Clouds, sprinkles and a bit cooler than yesterday with an air temp of 73 degrees. Water temp 64.5 degrees. Winds at N at 6 knots. Low tides 6:22 a.m. and 6:47 p.m. High tide 12:27 p.m. Jack Armstrong of Mill Creek, W. Va. caught this nice big BLUEFISH the other day!
