Days like today, everybody loves being on the beach.

If you are headed out on your own, it's a great day for it.

A gentle but persistent reminder to drive safely in your 4-wheel drive vehicle, air down your tires, obey traffic patterns, maintain a 50 ft distance between you and the wild horses, watch for pedestrians and sunbathers, and be sure to give our drivers a friendly wave as you go by! 👋

Meet Travis

Travis, of Portsmouth, Virginia, is one of our newest guides. He's a natural fit to the team, offering fun, engaging and informative adventures. Like many of us, Travis' favorite thing about giving tours is the opportunity to drive the beach and observe the beautiful horses, all while sharing the experience with our guests.

When Travis parks the Humvee and is off the clock, he most enjoys spending time with his sons, Dalton and Travis.
"Saturday morning vinyl records of old music over breakfast with my sons," he says, brings him the most joy. "Some scrambled eggs, sausage links and hashbrowns with cheese." He loves to fish and kayak and will, "get a good hour in the gym in the mornings along with a 15 minute sauna session."

We are so grateful to have Travis and his buoyant, open approach to touring as part of our W.H.A.T. all-star line up this year, "Was taught by the best," he adds.
