The Annual Fritz Boydeb Nags Head Youth Tournament was a success!

There was a record turnout this year and lots of happy faces catching fish.

All of these kids are the future of fishing. We are proud to be a sponsor of such an awesome event.

In other fishing news...

Offshore and inshore fishing were enjoyable today! Lots of nice Trout and some Drum around. A few folks are finding some Sheepshead hanging around the pilings at Bonner Bridge. From the surf we have been seeing some big sea Mullet and bluefish.
All of the Pier have had Bluefish and Spanish bites at different times during the day.

Offshore fishing remains good with Tuna, Mahi, Marlins and Tilefish. Lots of the local boats have headed south to fish the @bigrocktournament .... there have been a few big fish caught, but we can't wait to see more!

NEW! We are now booking surf fishing lessons. Depending on the conditions and season, you can catch Spanish mackerel, bluefish, sea mullet, perch, red drum, black drum, speckled trout, grey trout, puffer fish, pompano, sheepshead, sharks and flounder. Your instructor, Brendan, brings a wealth of knowledge of surf fishing in the local Corolla area and will provide all of the fishing tackle, gear and bait you will need to have a fun and successful fishing trip. His favorite fish to catch are red drum and sharks because of the fight!

Fishing with Friends -- Jennette’s Pier Education Team with the help of seasonal educator Kim McGee launched the inaugural Fishing with Friends Special Olympics Fishing Tournament this past Saturday, June 6. The first-ever event was successful and fun by all accounts. Dozens of anglers caught all sorts of fish and had a blast. We would like to thank Oceans East Bait and Tackle - Nags Head, Silly for Lilly and Special Olympics Dare County. Thanks go out to McGee, Sandy Pace and all of our wonderful volunteers!
