Yesterday we were honoured to participate in a preschool Field Trip to Downtown Manteo for the students at The Little School of Fish! The kids got a chance to tour our facility and get a behind-the-scenes look into the inner workings of a commercial kitchen. (Of course, all equipment was off and sharp objects stowed away to provide a safe environment for the littles!) Special thanks to the amazing preschool teachers as well as all of the parents who volunteered to chaperone this fun & educational day in the Town of Manteo!

? “Lovin’ is what I got!” ? Join us at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Downtown Manteo on Wednesday, August 2nd for SUBLIME live in concert! Our “Sidewalk Sippers” outside bar will be open all summer long so you can park your car and grab a beer or cocktail for your walk around downtown or over the bridge to the concert. It’s going to be an increase summer of music and fun here in the Town of Manteo…the Heart of the Outer Banks!

As summer approaches, Kind Yoga is excited to offer two new outdoor classes to take in the natural beauty of the Outer Banks.

Starting Memorial Day weekend we launch Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Yoga! Challenge your balance and enjoy the serenity of the on the calm waters of the Sound with a gentle vinyasa flow. This class is available to all levels and no paddle-boarding experience is required.

Starting June 5th we will be hosting Beach Yoga with a morning vinyasa flow on Hayman St. every Thursday.

If you've visited our aquarium you know about our pollinator garden, where you can see a variety of different species of bees (and other pollinators) at work. Did you know there are over 20,000 species of bees worldwide? There are over 4,000 native bee species in the United States, and 500 of them in North Carolina. Bees are the main pollinators for agricultural plants in the United States, meaning we should be thanking bees every time we sit down to eat a meal! Unfortunately, bee extinction rates are 100-1000 times higher than usual due to human impact. To help protect bees, you can start by planting native plants in your own yard. Visit our pollinator garden for some inspiration to get your own garden started!
