Fishing Report -- A good handful of bull RED DRUM have been caught and released early this morning with four or five anglers still at it and using 10 ounce sinkers off the end. Big NE swells rolling in with 69 degree ocean water. Winds 26 knots from the north! High tides 6:02 a.m. and 6:28 p.m. Low tide at noon.

This weather is bringing lots of wind but don't fret, there is still plenty to do on the Outer Banks. Take the family out for a tasty bite to eat or travel over to the Roanoke Island Aquarium to take a look at their wonderful creatures. A retrospective of his photography is being held at Glenn Eure’s Ghost Fleet Gallery, showcasing his defining artistry of the Outer Banks. The fresh and brackish water environments of the Albermarle Sound are among the wildest and most productive on the East Coast. The seven major rivers feeding Albemarle Sound carry nutrients that support abundant plant life. In turn, this sustains many kinds of fish and invertebrates. The adjacent swamps and forests were once nearly impenetrable, and undeveloped areas are still home to alligators, black bears, red wolves, migratory birds, and a great variety of other wildlife.
