That's a wrap - the 2023 Downtown Market season has ended. We don't know about you but we are sad to see it end, so sad that we are bringing back the Fall Fever Market and the Merry Market! The Fall Fever Market will be held at George Washington Creef Park in downtown Manteo on Saturday, October 7th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Come see all your favorite market vendors and their fabulous goods, but also discover some new fall favorites. So mark your calendars for the Fall Fever Market (Saturday, October 7th, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM) and the Merry Market (Friday, November 17th, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM)! Stay tuned for more information to come on the Merry Market.

Outer Banks Brewing Station announces its Tapas Thursdays culinary events starting Thursday, October 5th and running every Thursday evening through March 2024. Our renowned Chef Tony takes the helm for “Tapas Thursday!” Our talented Chef Tony will be crafting a diverse range of small plates inspired by cuisines from around the world, and each week will feature a unique theme that’s sure to tantalize your taste buds.

Fall on the Outer Banks is a special place for many reasons. One of those reasons is the Duck Jazz Festival. This FREE event allows you to bring your own chairs or blankets along with food and drinks to the Duck Town Green as you enjoy two days of amazing live Jazz music. Well behaved dogs are also allowed! Turtle Time -- Interested in volunteering as a stranding responder for the local Marine Mammal Stranding Network? There will be trainings held on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Jennette's Pier from 9:30 to11 a.m. and on Wednesday, Oct 4 at the Pitts Center in Southern Shores from 5:30 - 7p.m. To sign-up for the training, please fill out NC Aquarium Volunteer application [ https://bit.ly/3ZkJ4Yc] and email the N.C. Fishing Report: A 31-inch RED DRUM was released. A few SEA MULLET and small CROAKER have also been caught. Partly cloudy, wind WSW 10 mph. Small, contestable swell, water temp 76. High tide 10:02 a.m. and 10:12 p.m. Low tide 4:21 p.m. Jakob caught this octopus off the end of the pier over the weekend!
