Very Important People -- Jinky Davenport flashes a smile while volunteering at this year’s North Carolina Visually Impaired Person’s Fishing tournament. This “VIP” event lures dozens of anglers from across the state for fishing, food and fellowship on the Outer Banks. Davenport is pictured, from left, with her favorite angler, Ambrose Greene, as well as her grandsons Shane and Hank Reynolds, who attend the Wanchese Christian Academy. ‘We’ve been fishing with Ambrose for 15 years,” Jinky said.
