The winner will receive TWO tour tickets (well over $100 value) to use at a convenient time of your choosing (expiration: November 2026) and bragging rights for one of our cover shots!

Here are guidelines to consider when submitting your images:

• Every image must be YOUR original work. Corolla Wild Horse Adventure Tours will not knowingly publish copyrighted material.
• We accept images in digital format only.
• Photos must be of Corolla/Corova and/or its wild life.
• 3 submissions per entrant

By submitting to this contest, you agree to the following terms:

• You grant us, without compensation of any kind to you or others, the right to use, display, publish, modify, edit all images (though appropriate acknowledgment will be given to the photographer)

"This was an amazing trip! Mike J. was an awesome, knowledgable guide. We saw horses on the beach, on the dunes, in yards grazing, moving on the sandy roads. We saw about 30 different horses. Today was my 70th birthday, and it was the best birthday gift ever to see all these horses in their natural setting. I had requested a seat on the outside in order to take photos with my camera. Not only did they accommodate my request, Mike made sure to maneuver the vehicle so I would be sure to get the shots!! I highly recommend this tour & be sure to request Mike J."

Some difficult news to hear and share from Corolla Wild Horse Fund.

"Mocha was very wild and rangy, blind in one eye, and tough as nails. She lived most of her life in the marsh and we didn’t see her too often. She was the kind of horse you feel guilty touching even after death, because she would have never wanted nor tolerated that in life. This morning there was a rainbow right over the spot where Mocha died. We’d like to think it was a thank-you for respecting her wildness and letting her live and die with the dignity she deserved, and a reminder to stay hopeful for the future of this herd."

We are always so appreciative of the work they do and the heartache they carry.

The diet of the Corolla wild horses consists of native plants and grasses, including: sea oats, coarse grasses, acorns, persimmons, aquatic plants, live oak leaves, wax myrtle, and greenbrier.

The diet of the wild horses varies by season:

Winter and spring: The horses eat the most in the marshy areas.

Summer: The horses move closer to the beach to eat the green grass on the dunes and avoid the biting flies in the marsh.

Fall: The horses eat persimmons and acorns.
