We are fortunate to go to work every day in the heart of Downtown Manteo, a bustling “walking waterfront” shopping district located on Shallowbag Bay on the northeastern edge of our lovely little island. The northern half of Roanoke Island has a lot to offer: Fort Raleigh, the Elizabethan Gardens, the North Carolina Aquarium, Roanoke Island Festival Park, the Lost Colony outdoor drama, Island Farm, Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse….the adventures are endless.

But the true magic of our historic little island lies on the south end of the island, in the port of Wanchese. Known throughout the world as a primary source of the highest-quality seafood on the planet, the men of women in Wanchese work tirelessly every day to provide the best seafood on Earth to people around the globe.

We are proud to source 100% of our seafood from the waters surrounding Roanoke Island to provide our guests the freshest seafood available while supporting our local fishermen, crabbers, shrimpers and oyster farmers.

The indigenous people from this area have been fishing from this site for over 1100 years, and the legacy of Wanchese’s fishing industry continues to this day.
