Perfect calm as the sun rises. The old saying "Red sky in morning, sailor take warning" has been accurate this week! The weather is looking nice for the next week though!

We recently ventured out to enjoy an evening at Noosa Beach Grille, winner of Best New Restaurant in the 2021 ”Best of the Beach.” We ordered numerous appetizers & entrees to sample several of their most popular dishes, and we gotta say they knocked it out of the park on every single one! The atmosphere is cozy and the hospitality is top-notch. Don’t miss this fantastic dining experience the next time you’re in Kill Devil Hills!!

The Great Art Heist is opening this Friday! The opening reception will include libations, heavy hors d'oeuvres and live music by The Jazzmen. Guests are welcome to bid in-person or online.

Hanging Loose – Longtime owner of Whalebone Surf Shop, Jim Vaughn, left, and Lynn Shell of Outer Banks Boarding Company were hanging loose on the deck of Oceanview Hall during the Surfalorus Film Festival held in conjunction with the Eastern Surfing Association’s Championships held at Jennette’s Pier last week. One of the films show, Waterman, was about legendary Olympic gold medal swimmer and world class Hawaiian surfer Duke Kahanamoku.

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning beginning Monday, October 3rd until Wednesday, October 5th at 7:00 PM with 2 - 3 feet of inundation above ground level possible in low-lying areas. Remember, if you encounter flood waters, turn around, don’t drown. The Town of Manteo has an ordinance that prohibits driving on flooded streets.
