The famous Outer Banks Brewing Station Tour is back and safer than ever. Our all-new Brewery Tours are on Wednesdays! The tours are from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Tours are limited to 20 people and will convene at socially distant tables on the mezzanine. The video tour, hosted by Eric, will let you taste and smell our ingredients, ask questions live, then follow the tour with a guided tasting of four 5oz. samples of our beer!

Here is the latest on Red Sky! We are open Tuesday-Friday 3 pm -9:30 pm. We are serving brunch on the weekends, starting at 10 am and until 3 every Saturday and Sunday. On Saturdays, we close at 3, and then we open for dinner at 5 pm, in case you missed brunch. Reservations recommended, due to Covid. We do have indoor and outdoor sitting available. Our outdoor is spacious and covered so you are comfy, while enjoying our live music (see our attached line up list on this post ) . Not ready to dine in? We have a really nice family menu to go, and you can also reserve a Chefs on Call dinner where we come to your house and cook safely for your entire family, one night or every night of your stay! It is a crazy year out there. Usually when restaurant owners meet one of the first questions we ask is “how’s your year so far”. This can be answered in a few ways

1) great, the best year ever (sure it is)

2) terrible barely scrapping by (how’s that new boat)

3) its good, seeing the numbers where they should be ( poker player)

Lately, we have added a new one

4) “its nuts, but I will be here next year” (they are working around the clock but have pulled it off)

So how is the Lost Colony Brewery and Café doing?
“It's nuts out there but we will be around next year.”

Thanks to a great staff, some new blood, all the old hands, family and of course the heart of this operation Sharon.

And I am told we are going to have a great fall season on the Outer Banks.

Looking for something fun to do ? Come meet the Rhone Rangers, winemakers who specialize in the grapes made famous in the Rhone Valley of France. Wines such as Grenache, Viognier and Syrah are now found all around the world & we will travel by wine glass to many of the countries that have embraced these amazing grapes!
Our tastings will be on Thursday, August 13 and Saturday, August 15, both at 6:00 PM, and are just $25 per person. The wines will be accompanied by your own plate of cheeses and charcuterie from our Market all selected to complement the wines. Please be sure to call early for reservations at

The COVID-19 Pandemic took the world by surprise and at Big Buck’s, we simply weren’t prepared for it. We are doing everything that we can to continue to bring our customers quality homemade ice cream and other great products during this new normal.

A Big Buck’s experience is bound to include waiting in a line that extends far from our door. To encourage social distancing, we have given you the option to order online for pick up. In our Corolla and Kitty Hawk location, we have also rolled out a brand new pick up window where you can order your favorite flavor of ice cream or drink without ever entering the store.

This has been a difficult time for everyone and we ask that you have patience with us as we strive to navigate this uncertain time.
