We want you to come get your food and beer from us. Then we want you to go, as in “to/go.”
But you don’t have to go far! Restaurants cannot serve food on their property because of the COVID19 rules. Lucky for us and you, Manteo has plenty of picnic tables all along our beautiful waterfront. It is the best al fresco dining you will find anywhere. You will be yards from the restaurants you love and feet from Shallowbag Bay.

It is the state rule that restaurants cannot serve food on their premises. Right now. It is subject to change. When? Ask our governor.

We got lucky here in Manteo. I asked our town, and by that, I mean our town manager James Ayers, if we could as a group of restaurants buy picnic tables and place them in the grass lot along the waterfront.
Two days later, bam, they provided them for us. That is how the local government should always work. See a solution and implement it!

Thank you, Mr. Ayers, and thank you to all the town employees who put in the extra work getting the tables ready. Troy Tugwell, as always, has let me know how hard he and the public works crew have work to pull this off. (but mostly him). Beer is on me for all of you. (but mostly Troy)

It’s a beautiful day for fishing and carry-out food. With the impeding tropical storm coming tomorrow, Fish Heads carry-out will be closed! The pier will be open for fishing. Thank you to everyone who has come out to see us!! ?

For now our take-out hours are 11am to 8pm when weather permits!

We are OPENING this week! ☀️? We are excited for Summer 2020 and all the watersports fun to come!

For the time being, we will be open Monday-Saturday + Memorial Day weekend, 10am-4pm (weather permitting)! All watersports will be available this coming week other than Parasailing and Surfer Girl (our catamaran sails). These activities will be up and running soon! ?

We will require all payments and waivers to be completed online for a “touchless” check-in. We have made some additional changes to our daily operations to make sure we are offering a clean and healthy experience for our guests while also following state and local health recommendations!

It was a busy day here at Pirate’s Cove Marina as we welcomed visitors back onto the Outer Banks and had plenty of boats out! The Offshore Fleet enjoyed a beautiful day of fishing with catches of Tuna, Mahi Mahi and Wahoo! The Nearshore crew also went out and reported Spanish Mackerel and scattered Cobia! Congratulations on your citation Cobias: Dylan Eure (46 lbs) and Matthew Frederick (61 lbs)!

Back by Popular Demand - Smoked Fish Dip! Chef Mike smoked some Rock Fish this time and it's ready for dipping! We are awaiting our supply of foil cups, but are packaging it a little differently until they show up - with Crostini for $5! It's a great accompaniment to a home made Martini (one day we'll be making them for you again), or as a starter to a more fanciful meal - which we also have!
