The Shellabration Is Back!

The 2nd Annual Roanoke Island Oyster Shellabration & BBQ is coming to Wanchese! Join us Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 1–4 PM at Safe Harbor Tiki Bar for an afternoon featuring: Oysters, BBQ, Chowder, Beer/Wine, Desserts

Music by The Partly Crowdy.

Tickets are $95 per person. This is a 21+ only event and a fundraiser benefiting The Lost Colony. Come hungry, bring your friends, and get ready to Shellabrate!

One thing’s for sure, I’m not a young fella anymore! But what many seasons has taught me is that my FAVORITE time of the year is coming very soon, Fall Fishing Season! Our inshore and offshore fishing will start to settle in with strong catches. The crowded Beach traffic will start thinning down, rental prices should drop from “in season” rates making it more affordable, etc... As the water starts to cool the fishing will only get better!

It’s no secret that’s it’s been a slow year for us, but there has to be bad times to appreciate the good times! We are fully “locked and loaded” for the season coming up, like always. We are a longtime family focused/affordable charter boat that believes in a great experience first!

Feel free to give me a call or you can book on line at Wild Card Charters. We do not use “third party” booking, you talk directly to the Captain/owner. There are still somethings better done the old fashioned way, like talking about your trip before you show up at the boat (no surprises)! Let’s go catch some fish and have fun doing it!
