Auditions - Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and Then Some!)
Synopsis:
A hilarious traveling show we hope to perform all over the Outer Banks, dinner theatre style! Instead of performing Charles Dickens' beloved holiday classic for the umpteenth time, three actors decide to perform every Christmas story ever told -- plus Christmas traditions from around the world, seasonal icons from ancient times to topical pop-culture, and every carol ever sung. A madcap romp through the holiday season!
Audition Tips:
This show is a fast-paced, manic, silly romp through all the classic holiday tales, so for auditions, bring a 1-2 minute fast-paced, manic, silly monologue (it can be from a play, a movie, a TV show, or your imagination), and show us just how wacky you can be! We will then do a few cold reads from the script!
Characters:
The characters are all adults, but can be in any age range and any gender. They'll be using their own names, but basically, one is a traditionalist and a bit of a stick-in the mud (He/She REALLY wants to do 'A Christmas Carol') another is a wise guy/gal, and the third is a wide-eyed ingenue (still really believes in Santa). When we settle on a cast, we'll decide who should go into what role.
This is a fun, silly, holiday spirit show, so basically, we're looking for fun, silly holiday spirit people! If you are one of those people, come on out and audition!!!
