Dare Nights for Locals
The Lost Colony is pleased to announce its “Dare Nights” for locals as the first 3 Fridays in June – the 2nd, 9th, and 16th. “Dare Nights” support our local food pantries. All locals are invited to attend the 80th Anniversary Season of The Lost Colony for donations of non-perishable food items to local food pantries on these nights. This is an excellent opportunity to get a seat for this landmark season while aiding local families in need. “Dare Nights” are sponsored by Midgett Insurance Agency. Midgett is proud to be a part of this long-standing community event.
The June 2nd “Dare Night” performance benefits Roanoke Island Food Pantry, the June 9th “Dare Night” performance benefits Beach Food Pantry and the June 16th “Dare Night” performance benefits Lifeline Outreach OBX. The show starts at 7:45 PM and theatre guests are encouraged to arrive early. Tickets will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. In addition to the food or dry goods donations, residents are required to show proof of Dare County residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill. Pre-performance donation collection begins at 6:00 PM. Recommended items for the food drive include canned vegetables, fruits, meats, soups and beans; tomato and pasta products; cereals; toilet paper and paper towels. There are no rain checks with these free tickets.
