Small Plates Choreography Festival
Town of Duck is thrilled to host the Small Plates Choreography Festival in the Duck Amphitheater with two performances at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Small Plates Choreography Festival was created in 2012 by OBX resident and dance professional Beth McKee Elliott with the intention to create meaningful performance experiences for choreographers, dancers, and their audiences. The festival currently takes place annually in multiple US cities and provides venues for the presentation of short dance works to a shared audience, building community through performance, dialogue, and professional networking. The performances are family-friendly, free, and open to the public.
This festival will present work by artists of Haven Movement Company, DanceArtTheater, and Baran Dance.
Following each performance, audiences will have a unique opportunity to engage with the artists during an informal meet-and-greet. This interaction allows attendees to meet the artists behind the performances.
