Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound
We’ve heard lots of reports of good fishing the last few days! Fishing continues to pick up all along the Outer Banks and we are so excited to see so many of you having luck!
The piers continue to be the spot to catch a variety of species! There have been lots of Spanish and Bluefish caught lately. There have been a few small Cobia caught as well! Shop Employee Josh caught one off of Outer Banks Pier Monday evening. However, his girlfriend and shop employee Lana out caught him the next morning with a bunch of nice Spanish. We’ve also heard reports of Triggerfish and Sheepshead too. Avon Pier also reported the catch and release of a Tarpon yesterday!
Surf fishing hasn’t been quite as exciting, but there have been reports of Pompano, Sea Mullet, Spot and Croakers caught.
Soundside fishing continues to be great Speckled Trout fishing. Check Ayla Ottavio wearing out the Trout 😎 There are still some Sheepshead, Puppy Drum and Bluefish caught occasionally, but Trout are still the majority of what’s being caught in the sound.
The Billfish fishing has really taken off! If you’ve been following the Big Rock Tournament then you’ve heard all about the Blue Marlin, White Marlin, and Sailfish boats have been hooking up to. It’s been an exciting tournament with lots of Wahoo and Dolphin as well. @woodcuttersportfishing has had some epic offshore days lately as well! From big Tunas to limits of Dolphin, it doesn’t get much better than that!
