Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

We’ve had a busy start to the week with lots of anglers coming in to get ready for the upcoming days of fishing and impending full moon.

While the ocean water is still a warm 70 degrees, the air temps were a bit cooler this morning. Jennette’s pier reported some big Drum this morning! Pier fisherman are still catching Bluefish, Spot, and Sea Mullet. Fingers crossed, we’ll see more Drum, but this fall fishing has been quite unpredictable versus the typical catches for this time of year. The surf fisherman have also been on the hunt for some good Drum beach fishing, but we have still yet to see it. However, there are Puppy Drum, small Trout, Spot, Bluefish and Sea Mullet being caught in the surf.

Inshore fishing has been pretty successful with catches including Speckled Trout, Bluefish, Puppy Drum, and Flounder. The Sheephead have been hit or miss depending on your bait and location! Hopefully, the inshore anglers will be able to keep it up throughout the week!

A few offshore went out this morning with some exciting catches! Lots of Yellowfin, Blackfins, and Dolphins made it back to the docks this afternoon.
