Surf Fishing Report:
A few Sea Mullet, Spot and Croaker. A nice Trout caught at Oregon Inlet by Mickey Kodroffs.

The winds are SW at 8 and the water temp is 75 degrees. Sun, another hot day in the high 90’s. Water is clear with small swells.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported small Trout, Stripers, Black Drum Croaker and Flounder.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: A couple of Spanish and Bluefish early. The water is full of Ray’s and a real aggravation to the anglers on the pier losing their rigs.

Nags Head: Slow.

Jennette’s: Croaker. Spadefish, Bluefish, Spot, Triggers and Sea Mullet.

Outer Banks: Bluefish and Spadefish, itty bitty Spot and Trout about the same size. Ray’s everywhere. Lots of baitfish in the water.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

The nearshore boats had a stellar day with anglers filling their boxes with King Mackerels, Spanish, Albacore, Bluefish, Spadefish, Cobia, Shark, Amberjack and Triggers. Inshore also had a good day on the water bringing home King Macs, Spanish, Bluefish, Albacore, Cobia, good catches of Flounder with one being over 22 “.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
Offshore fishing improved yesterday with better numbers of Yellowfin and Dolphin. There were some Wahoo and Tilefish as well. There was a Blue Marlin and White Marlin released and also some Sailfish releases.
