Surf Fishing Report:
There is not much to write about this morning. There is a cold spell on the way and it could be good news for catching Drum.
On this day in 2011 a new state Striped Bass record was set. The record still stands today. Keith Angel fishing off of Oregon Inlet caught a 64-lb Striped Bass measuring 53 ¼ inches in length and 33 ¾ inches in girth. It was a big year for Striped Bass. A State record was weighed in at TW’s several days before Angel weighed his in at Oregon Inlet
The winds are NW at 15 and the water temp is 49 degrees. Sunny, windy, flat conditions.
