Fishing was overall slow yesterday. High winds and rough water will make the conditions tough for surf fishing today. It is a good day to do some Fathers Day shopping at TW’s.

The winds are NE at 22 and the water temp is 72 degrees. Waters rough but pretty glassy, wave height is 7.68 ft., wind is high, sun is shining.

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported lots of Trout this morning and Black Drum.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Spadefish.

Nags Head: Bluefish.

Jennette’s: Bluefish

Outer Banks: Bluefish

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Inshore had a good Drum bite, some Shark, Blues, Sea Bass and Spanish. Nearshore boats trolling for Spanish and Blues had another good day.

Offshore Boats Report:

It was another big Bigeye day for the fleet with the weight ranging from 117 to 142 pounds. Other than that, the fishing slowed some. Yellowfin, nice Wahoo, Bonita and Mahi Mahi were caught with several Sailfish releases.
