Surf Fishing Report:
Surf fishing is slow. There are Bluefish scattered and bottom fish.

The winds are SW at 15 and the water temp is 70 degrees. Water is mostly clear, a small swell, windy, sunshine, hot day, will reach the 90’s.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported small Trout, Stripers and bottom fish.

The Oregon Inlet catwalk anglers are catching Sheepshead.


Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Spanish, Blues and Sea Mullet. A 23 in Flounder was caught yesterday. That’s a whopper.

Nags Head: Bluefish.

Jennette’s: Spadefish, Triggerfish, Bluefish, Spanish and Flounder.

Outer Banks: Bluefish, Spanish, Pompano and Spadefish.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

The nearshore boat caught plenty of Spanish and Bluefish with good size Amberjacks. They caught Cobia as well. The inshore boats also caught Spanish, Bluefish, and Amberjack and added Trout to the mix. The headboat caught Sea Robin, Bluefish, Gray Trout, Stripers, Sea Bass, and Puffers and also a Cobia was caught.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
It was a great day on the water for the bluewater fleet. There were fat Yellowfin, some boats catching their limits and nice size Gaffer Dolphin catches. Their fish boxes also held plenty of Bigeyes, the biggest weighing 151 lbs.
