Fishing Report:
It was an impressive Drum bite on Hatteras Island yesterday. Many citation drum were beached and they were biting all day. I heard a number of 30 citations were reported. There were good numbers of slot Drum and yearling Drum from ramp 43 to ramp 55. Bluefish, Sharks, and Blow toads were everywhere. Rays and Skate are aggravating. Sharks are still everywhere. Good numbers of Sea Mullet at ramp 43 and 48 and ramp 55 had decent numbers of Flounder. A 3 lb Flounder was weighed in. Another large Striper was caught in the surf. It was 40 inches and 24 lbs. The bait was fishbites. Can’t under estimate those fish bites.
It was a good day on the water for the offshore fleet. Yellowfin, Blackfin and a few Mahi were laid out on the dock. The nearshore fleet caught Albacore and Bluefish.
Pier fishing is slow. A few Sea mullet and Blow Toads. The water is muddy.
We have had several nice days on this sand bar but unfortunately there is another weather system to worry about this weekend.

The winds are SW at 12 and the water temp is 52 degrees. Sunny, calm winds, small weak swells and pretty flat this morning.
