Surf Fishing Report:
Scattered Bluefish.

The winds are NW at 8 and the water temp is 72 degrees. A nice day, water calm and clear, light winds.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout, Black Drum, Stripers and Flounder. A couple of keeper Flounder were caught yesterday.

There were Sheepshead caught by the Oregon Inlet Bridge catwalk anglers.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Sea Mullet, Bluefish, 17 in Flounder and small Cobia. That was one nice Cobia caught by Evan Marshall yesterday. (Picture).

Nags Head: Blues, Sea Mullet and 1 Spanish.

Jennette’s: Bluefish, Spadefish, Triggers and small Flounder.

Outer Banks: Small Bluefish, Spadefish and Pompano.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Plenty of Spanish and Bluefish for the trolling boats and a 30 lb+ Drum release. Inshore had plenty of Cobia sightings, and caught Albacore and Bluefish. The Headboat had a fun day catching plenty of bottom fish.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
Another banner day for the fleet. They caught nice Yellowfin, Blackfin and Bigeye Tunas. Plenty of Dolphin and Wahoo. Citations included a 209 lb Bigeye, 46.10 # Dolphin and a 40 # Wahoo. There were lots of Sailfish flags.
