Surf Fishing Report:
There were Sea Mullet and Croaker scattered. Eddie Eatmon brought in a citation Sea Mullet to be weighed in. I have had very few citations this year to report.

The winds are E at 8 and the water temp is 72 degrees. Overcast water is choppy.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout, a couple keepers, and a couple keeper Flounder, Croakers, Black Drum and Stripers.

Lots of Flounder reported from the Oregon Inlet Bridge catwalk.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: 27 ½ lb Cobia, Pompano, Bluefish and Sea Mullet.

Nags Head: Pompano.

Jennette’s: Pompano, Sea Mullet, Sand Perch, Pigfish and Croaker.

Outer Banks: Blues, Sea Mullet, Croaker and Spot.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

The inshore open boats are catching some nice Spanish, Bluefish and Stripers. The nearshore boats had an exceptional day catching King Mackerel, Amberjack, Spanish, Bluefish, a Barracuda and a Wahoo. Miss Oregon Inlet caught tons of Croakers, Sea Mullet, Sea Bass and Flounder, Pigs and Pins.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The fleet had another spectacular Yellowfin bite again with some boats catching their limits. Most of them weighing 40 to 50 lbs. The Dolphin were plentiful as well. A 169 pound Bigeye was decked. One Sailfish released.
