Surf Fishing Report:
On the north end of Hatteras Island there were some Red Drum, Black Drum and Bluefish. Ramp 43 and 44 had Bluefish. Spot and Croakers were scattered along most of the beaches. There was a nice 18 Flounder caught in Nags Head but you can’t keep Flounder now. I received several e-mails about the Pompano picture I listed on Friday telling me it is a Jack Crevalle not a pompano. There were small Trout in Nags Head.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported a few keeper Trout this morning.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Puppy Drum, few keeper Trout, Black Drum, Puffers and Bluefish.
Nags Head: Mullet, Trout, Puppy Drum and Black Drum.
Jennette’s: Bluefish, Puffers, Black Drum, Flounder and Sea Mullet.
Outer Banks: Sea Mullet, Blow toads, Black Drum and Trout.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
For the nearshore fleet this weekend there was some Sheephead, Stripers, Albies and Puppy Drum. Inshore Stripers, Trout and Drum.

Offshore Boats Report:
The blue water fishing news was a little scarce for the weekend. I understand there were some Tuna and Mahi caught.

The winds are NE at 15 and the water temp is 68 degrees. Partly sunny, strong winds, choppy Ocean.
