Surf Fishing Report:
There are Sea Mullet, Pompano and small Trout from the surf. The good news there were a couple of Drum caught yesterday. Puppy Drum are bottom feeders and will take most anything you want to throw at them. Don’t over think it. They can be in the wash right at your feet.

The winds are SW at 5 and the water temp is 79 degrees. Partly cloudy, hot and sticky, water is calm and clear.


Sound Fishing Report:

The anglers on the Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway are catching plenty of Trout, Flounder, Puppy Drum, Black Drum and Stripers and few keepers.


Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Bluefish and Spadefish.

Nags Head: Bluefish and nice Spanish.

Jennette’s: Spadefish and 3 keeper Cobia and one throwback.

Outer Banks: Spadefish and small Spot and Bluefish.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

All the nearshore fleet fished and brought to the docks Bluefish, Amberjack, Albacore and a generous amount of Spanish. Inshore caught Flounder, Striper, and Spanish. The Headboat caught Bluefish, Flounder, Sea Mullet, Croaker, Trout, and Spanish.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
A beautiful day on the water with light winds and calm water. The Bluewater fleet had great catches of Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin, some Blackfin and Wahoo. There was a sailfish release and 2 White Marlin releases.
