Surf Fishing Report:
Sea Mullet. Lots of trash fish and black flies. There is nothing you can do about either one.  

The winds are SW at 12 and the water temp is 70 degrees. Water is clear, small swells, another very hot day.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout, Black Dum, Croaker and Spot.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Bluefish and Triggers.

Nags Head: Flounder, Spot and Spadefish.

Jennette’s: Spot, Croaker and Spadefish.

Outer Banks: Blues, Sea Mullet and spadefish. Lots of Butterfly Rays circling the piers.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore caught a variety of fish, hooking Bluefish, Spanish, Amberjacks, Albacore and a couple of Red Drum. Inshore also had Red Drum release plus a 43 lb Cobia citation and Spanish, Bluefish and Amberjack. The Headboat anglers caught many different species, Bluefish, Trout, Sea Mullet, Croakers, Puffers and Sea Bass to name a few.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The heat was really bad, having said that there were of plenty fish caught. A good day for the fleet catching nice size Yellowfin, Dolphin and a few Wahoo.
