Fishing Report:
We are beginning a new year and I am sorry to say it is without Nick Walke. Nick is retiring from TW’s after 22 years and he is going to be solely missed. TW’s will still be stocking his beautiful custom rods and he will continue helping with keeping the store stocked with fresh bait. No one can throw a net like Nick. Ocean or sound.
Hatteras Island reported a few scattered Black Drum and Puppy Drum.
One boat sailed from Oregon Inlet and returned with some Yellowfin.
Another beautiful day on the sand bar this morning. Plenty dog walkers out early and couple surfers and a surprise paddle boarder.
I hope everyone had a Happy New year. Now let’s get down to some serious fishing the coming year.
The winds are NW at 12 and the water temp is 51 degrees. Sunny, light winds, small swells.
