Surf Fishing Report:
Spot, Sea Mullet and Croakers scattered.

The winds are SW at 8 and the water temp is 77 degrees. Water is flat and clear, mostly sunny. Humid.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported a few keeper Trout, Croaker, Black Drum and Flounder.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: 33 in Cobia, Sea Mullet, Pompano, Spanish, Spot and Pinfish.

Nags Head: Blue and Sea Mullet.

Jennette’s: Bluefish and Spadefish.

Outer Banks: Spot, Sea Mullet, Bluefish and Pinfish.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Drum action was the news of the day for the inshore open boats catching keeper Drum and plenty releases. There were also Trout caught. Spanish dominated the nearshore report with anglers catching some Amberjack, Tilefish, Bluefish and King Mackerel as well. Miss Oregon Inlet reported sea mullet, bluefish, puffers, gray trout, sea bass, spot, and some lizardfish.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The bluewater fleet caught hefty Yellowfin, Blackfin, Wahoo and a few gaffer Dolphin. There were billfish releases. Pirates Cove Marina reported 5 Whites and a Blue Marlin estimated 400-500 lbs.
