Surf Fishing Report:
R. J Hudgins caught a total of 28 Flounder in 3 days ranging from 6 in to 18.5 in from the surf in Nags Head. He also told how it’s done. He walked about a half mile of beach fishing sloughs and holes using bucktails as light as possible tipped with 4 in gulp mullets in white and a gulp teaser tied a foot above it on a bait holder hook, Rapid jigging them in just off the bottom. He also said fishing has been awesome.

 

The winds are SW at 5 and the water temp is 63 degrees. Waters cold, flat, murky and the heat index will be about 103 today.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Stripers, Puppy Drum, Black Drum and Trout. All small.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Spot. Lightening struck the pier last night and took out TV’s, Games and some light poles.

Nags Head: Slow.      

Jennette’s: Sand Perch and Spadefish.

Outer Banks: Sea Mullet and Spot.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore anglers continue to catch plenty of Bluefish and Spanish and Albacore a well.  Lot of citation Red Drum were caught yesterday from the ocean. Inshore caught Drum, Trout and Cobia.

 

 Offshore Boats Report:
Another impressive day for the offshore boats catching plenty of Yellowfin, Dolphin and some Bonita. A Sailfish was released.
