Surf Fishing Report:
It’s typical for surf fishing in the summer to be slow. There is always a variety of fish caught. Sea Mullet, Spot and Croaker north of the Inlet.

The story of the day, TW’s Keith Tongeir was fishing in 1 ½ ft of water just outside of Teach’s Marina and hooked up with a Cobia. He fought the fish off the flat, across the ferry channel and up onto another flat. After about 40 minutes he decked a 47 lb Cobia. Keith told me he was fishing with a trout rod and 10 lb test.

The winds are NE at 1.9 and the water temp is 77 degrees.
