Surf Fishing Report:
Sea Mullet and Pompano were caught yesterday. Fishing should pick up a little the next few days with the wind having switched.

The winds are NE at 17 and the water temp is 76 degrees. White caps, grass in the water up close, Carolina blue sky, windy.

 
Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported lots of Croakers, Trout and Stripers. Marty Kokel and daughter caught under the slot Black Drum using shrimp for bait. They were fishing Nags Head sound side


Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Small Cobia, Bluefish and Sea Mullet.

Nags Head: Slow.

Jennette’s: Triggers, Spadefish, Spot and Sea Mullet

Outer Banks: Sea Mullet, Croakers, Pigfish and Stripers.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore caught Bluefish and Spanish. Inshore boaters had Red Drum releases and some keepers. Trout, Cobia, Pompano and a 50 in Amberjack. Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat caught some flounder, spanish, puffers, trout, croakers, sea mullet, pigfish, pinfish, and spot.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The off shore captains say business is good and that means fishing is unusually good. A large amount of hefty Yellowfin, some Blackfin, and nice Wahoo were caught. Good Tilefish catches as well. There were White Marlin, Blue Marlin and Sailfish releases.
