Surf Fishing Report:
Surf fishing is overall low. Should be some Sea Mullet and Spot caught.

The winds are SSW at 7 and the water temp is 73 degrees. Ocean is a little murky, weak swell, another sweltering hot day. Expecting heat index 105.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported slow Trout fishing, Croaker and Black Drum.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Blues and Puffers.

Nags Head: Pompano and a Blacktip Shark.

Jennette’s: Bluefish and Spot.

Outer Banks: Sea Mullet, Bluefish, Spot, Croaker and a couple of Ribbonfish.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore caught good numbers of Spanish, Bluefish and released Red Drum. Trout fishing was exceptional for inshore boats, some Flounder and also Red Drum releases. The headboat had a good day decking nice flounder, sea mullet, sea bass, sea robin, gray trout, puffers, ribbonfish, pigfish, and pinfish.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The fleet returned to the Docks with a good number of white and blue flags flying. Seven Blue Marlin, four White and 2 Sailfish were caught. Several boats limited out on Dolphin, plenty of Tilefish and a few Yellowfin. Trophy Wahoo were also caught weighing in at 42 and 48 lbs.
