Surf Fishing Report:
Overall slow fishing. A few Sea Mullet and some Drum at Oregon Inlet. Hopefully the heat wave is over. Fishing should improve.

The winds are N at 1 and the water temp is 73 degrees. Water is flat, clear and the sun is shining.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported A few small Trout and bottom fish.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Sea Mullet and Triggers.

Nags Head: Slow.

Jennette’s: Bluefish, Bar Jacks, Sea Mullet, Spot and Sand Perch.

Outer Banks: Sea Mullet, Sand Perch, Pigfish and a nice Flounder.



Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore fishing is good with anglers catching Bluefish, Spanish, Albacore and Amberjack. Inshore also caught Amberjack, albacore and released Red Drum. One Drum was a whopping 52 inch. Miss Oregon Inlet caught Flounder, Blues, Croaker, Trout, Sea Bass, Sea Mullet and Pigs and Pins.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The offshore fleet returned to the docks with Dolphin, good catches of Wahoo, a citation weighing in at 41 lbs, and Tilefish. Scattered Yellowfin and Blackfin were caught as well. There were Sailfish releases and a White Marlin release.
