Surf Fishing Report:
Good catches of Sea Mullet and Bluefish. Today, I would set my site on catching Drum.

The winds are NE at 11 and the water temp is 81degrees. Surf is 2-3 ft, overcast; expecting heavy rains with Hermine headed this way. Hyde County voted for a mandatory evacuation of Ocracoke Thursday.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout, Croaker and Flounder.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Blues and Spanish.

Nags Head: Blues and a keeper Drum.

Jennette’s: Spanish, Bluefish and Spot.

Outer Banks: Spot, nice Sea Mullet, Blues, several Flounder, a 33 in Drum and about 10-11 no keepers.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore anglers brought in Spanish, Bluefish, King Mackerels, Albacore and some Ribbonfish. Speckle Trout, Flounder and Stripers were caught inshore. Miss Oregon Inlet caught bottom fish.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
Great fishing the day before the weekend storm. The Bluewater fleet brought in their limits of Yellowfin and Dolphin. Some nice Wahoo were also caught with one weighing in at 40 lbs and one 49 lbs. There were multiple Sailfish releases and several White Marlin.
