Too rough for pier fishing today and surf fishing. After catching Bluefish all week in Ocean Sands, Keith K and son discovered Spadefish fishing Avalon Pier.  He thought it was an incredibly pretty fish that tastes even better. (Picture).

A few boats made it out yesterday ahead of Hermine. Good Dolphin fishing and released 10 Sailfish. Nearshore caught Plenty of Spanish and Bluefish. Inshore anglers decked Albacore, 1 Ambejack and 4 Cobia.

The winds are NNE at 46 and the water temp is 77 degrees. The reading is from pier end, U. S. Army corps of Engineers Research Pier in Duck at 8 am. Jennette’s Pier has S winds at 13. We had hard rains and high winds all night. I have sunshine in KDH this morning, but we know that’s not going to hang around.
