Surf Fishing Report:
Lots of throwback Puppy Drum up and down on all our beaches. Some Trout, Sea Mullet and Pompano also. Milton Phelps caught a nice Drum at the Inlet.


The winds are WSW at 5 and the water temp is 77 degrees. Mostly sunny, small waves, calm winds.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported no keeper Drum, Trout, some keepers, Black Drum and Croakers.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Small Drum and Blues.

Nags Head: Pompano, 22 in Albacore, Bluefish and Spanish.

Jennette’s: Bluefish.

Outer Banks: Many small Puppy Drum and Sea Mullet in the wash, both sides of the pier.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore caught Spanish, Blues, Albacore, and Amberjack. Inshore caught beautiful Speckle Trout, Gray Trout, Bluefish, some Flounder, Red Drum and a Cobia. Miss Oregon Inlet anglers reported Gray Trout, Puffer, Bluefish, Sea Bass, Flounder, Puppy Drum, Sea Mullet, Croaker, Sea Robin and Spot. That’s a lot of different species.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
There were some whopping big Yellowfin hitting the docks yesterday. The boats caught their limits with a couple weighing in the 70’s. There were good numbers of Blackfin and some Wahoo also a 55 lb trophy caught. Big catches of Dolphin as well. There were Billfish releases.
