Fishing was slow yesterday. The Buxton beaches reported a few Puppy Drum and Blowtoads are still the fish of the day on The Frisco beaches.

Good action for the bluewater charters. They brought Yellowfin, early season Mahi to the docks and had Bluefin catches and releases as well. A 96 in Bluefin weighing in at 534 lbs gutted was caught by a group of guys fishing from their outboard.

The sound boaters caught and released Stripers yesterday. That’s good news.

The regulation on Stripers is 2 per person per day at 18” TL minimum until April the 30th.

The piers are getting ready for the pier jockeys. OBX Pier already has his pier cam up and working this morning.

The winds are SW at 15 and the water temp is 48 degrees. The water is flat, the sun is shining and the beach joggers are out early.
