Surf Fishing Report:
Sea Mullet, small Drum and Bluefish should be caught today. Mike Brone reported small Drum and a 3 # Bluefish in the Ocean Sands surf last night at dusk using cut mullet. There also were keeper Drum caught at ramp 4 yesterday.


The winds are E at 6 and the water temp is 77 degrees. Overcast, expecting rain later in the day. Small waves and light winds. Not the conditions the ESA Eastern Championship surfing contest Tournament being held in S Nags Head was hoping for today.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported small Trout and Croakers.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Slow. Avalon anglers caught some big Drum night before last.

Nags Head: Slow. 1 Spot.

Jennette’s: Slow

Outer Banks: Small Puppy Drum and Sea Mullet.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

The nearshore boat fishermen trolling for Bluefish and Spanish continue having good luck outside the Inlet and a short distance off shore along the beach. They also caught a few Albacore.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The blue water fishing was back to normal yesterday catching their limits of Dolphin, plenty Yellowfin and Blackfin and hauling in some Wahoo as well. It was also another big day for Sailfish, and White and Blue Marlin releases.
