We have been watching Matthew all week. We will have some Tropical Storm winds, beach erosion, flooding from the ocean, sound and heavy rains. Traveling to the Outer Banks is not recommended for the weekend.
There are anglers on the piers this morning. Nags Head Pier has caught one Red Drum. Jennette’s has 2. OBX pier Jockeys are catching Spot. OBX said they will close tomorrow. The other Piers do not know yet.
The Little Bridge might be the only show in town for the weekend. They are catching slot Puppy Drum, Trout and Stripers this morning. The Oregon Inlet catwalk may be the place also.
The winds are E at 15 and the water is 73 degrees.
