Surf Fishing Report:
The fishing is slow. A few Puppy Drum scattered. Bryce and Kaleb caught a couple of Drum fishing with their new Penn Fierce Reel purchased at TW’s Tackle. The SW winds have really muddied the water. The swells are some smaller today. This day is gorgeous on the Outer Banks. As for the fishing I expect it to be more of the same today. The conditions should start improving tomorrow and much better for the weekend.

The winds are SW at 10and the water is 68 degrees.

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway also reported slow. Water is muddy in the sound from storm runoff.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Small no keeper Trout and Spot. One Red Drum.

Nags Head: Small Trout, small Drum and Spot.

Jennette’s: Spot and Sea Mullet.

Outer Banks: Sea Mullet, Small Drum, Trout, a Bluefish and Croakers.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Inshore open boats caught nice Sheepshead and keeper Trout. Miss Oregon Inlet hosted the annual Lions Club for the V. I. P Tournament. The anglers caught Gray Trout, Croakers, Sea Mullet and Pigfish.

Offshore Boats Report:
It was an impressive day for the Bluewater fleet, finding some great Yellowfin and a good amount of Dolphin. There was also a Sailfish release.
