Surf Fishing Report:
I stated in yesterday’s report that I could safely say it will not be a good day to surf fish. I received an e-mail from a longtime fishing buddy. He said, “Sorry to bust your theory about today’s fishing. Just caught 7 pups in 45 min at Oregon Inlet”. So what do I know??? Go fishing.
The winds are NW at 11 and the water is 61 degrees. Sunny day, chilly, huge surf, wave height 10.3 ft.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway is a good place to fish when the surf conditions are not the best. Also the Wildlife pier just down the road across from Pirates Cove.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Slow.
Nags Head: Trout and Puppies.
Jennette’s: Sea Mullet.
Outer Banks: Puppy Drum.
Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
No report
Offshore Boats Report:
No reports due to high seas and strong winds.
