Fishing was good despite the high winds yesterday. There were Bluefish up and down on all the beaches south of the bridge with the point catching 2 pounders. Also Sea Mullet and a good Blowtoad bite. Avon anglers caught Spot and Sea Mullet. At Frisco there were Sea Mullet and Blowtoads. Hatteras beach caught a few Drum, Sea Mullet and Blowtoads.

Owen Meadows caught a 21 in Puppy Drum on the south side of Oregon Inlet behind the old Lifesaving Station. He caught the Drum using a 3-way swivel single hook with squid.

Piers are slow this morning.

The fleet stayed at the docks.

The winds are SW at 14 and the water temp is 55 degrees. Strong winds and heavy rain expected today and night.
