Fishing took a real slow turn yesterday. A few Puppy Drum were caught in Buxton.
It is the time of the year to start thinking about your 2017 ORV permits. You can purchase from the visitor centers at the Bodie Island Lighthouse, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and on Ocracoke Island. They are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
There are two types of permits: 7-day/$50 permits (valid from the date issued) and
Annual/$120 permits. The 2017 annual permit will be valid from the date of purchase through Dec 31, 2017.
